The no carb diet
There are many diets around which claim to help loose weight fast – some of these cut out vital food groups which the body needs and is recommended by health professionals. An example is the protein diet which introduces shakes and soups to the diet in replacement of meals – these cut out carbs totally and as such only specified foods even specific vegetables and in many cases this means no fruit at all. As the diet provides all the meals in the form of milkshakes, soups, snack bar etc it is expensive to maintain. However short term yes people do claim to have lost weight but the key question is will they be able to maintain it when they come off the diet.
